Located southwest of Managua, which separate the 28 km, and
14 km north of Granada is located at the edge of the lake of the same
name at the foot of the Masaya volcano (also called Popogatepe,
"burning mountain" in chorotega ). The whole lake and
volcano, which has five craters, form an area of 52 km ² declared Natural Park
in 1979 and it houses a very interesting museum of
volcanology. North of Masaya, Granada border, lies the Laguna de Apoyo
