Famous Yolombó , partly due to the novel of manners of Thomas Carrasquilla entitled " La Marquise de Yolombó ", this city, located at 1,450 meters above sea level , its economy relies mainly on Sugarcane and Café.

With reference to its geographic, in the domains of Yolombó can see the hill Cancharazo , existing maximum elevation over the sea level in the northeastern Antioquia. This elevation has a height of 1,800 m above the sea level.
