History of Yolombo

nbsp;Until 1750 served its wealth and prosperity for one would grant him renown of Illustrious City , but 1760 and until 1800was exhausted exploitation of gold mines due to lack of better technology to exploit them. Only until the year of 1815 would open a path to communicate Yolombó with the prosperous town of Antioquia in Rionegro .

Following the tragic happening Yolombó , I must say that the people eventually became 1879 in a township of the municipality of Santo Domingo , until finally, in the year of 1883 , Yolombó was again elevated to the rank of District and Township , as it remained until 2009.

The Municipality is extensive and abound in all kinds of weather. Mountainous, offers from the blazing temperatures to near freezing.Possessed, about exotic agriculture, forests full of medicinal and precious woods. It is also land of abundant water and grass, and has been a traditional reserve of Antioquia in their gold reserves
