It is situated at the extreme northeastern
end of the Olympic Peninsula, on the north end of a large, semi-protected bay.
Port Townsend is adjacent to the Admiralty Inlet and a trio of State Parks
built on retired artillery installations (Fort Worden, Fort Casey, and Fort
Flagler).
