Broadway is an ancient settlement whose origins are lost in the mists of
time. Through the centuries, it has seen the settlement of first the ancient
Beaker people (1900 BCE) within its boundaries. In 2004, Worcestershire Young
Archaeologists' Club, a regional branch of the Council for British
Archaeology's Young Archaeologists' Club, found evidence of early occupation.
Their fieldwork uncovered a large amount of Roman and medieval domestic waste
and, most importantly, a large amount of worked Mesolithic flints. This work
