At about two miles southeast of Guellala, overlooking the coast is the typical mosque of Sidi Yati (Berber Amiy Yathi ) of Ibadi sect built in the early X   century . This monument was threatened by sea erosion was renovated in the late 1990s . Jemma Guellala ( n Tamezgida Iqellalen ) is another typical Ibadi sect mosque which is located on the coast.

This small town is home to the Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions Djerba located on the hill forming the highest point of the island. It shows the popular traditions of Djerba and the rest of the country.

Guellala women recognize their hat typical (called tadhellalt ) which is part of their dress and distinguishes the married woman the girl who does not normally wear. This hat is worn even at night for shelter from moisture night.
