Elbląg's Old Town area was almost completely destroyed in World War II.
Visitors to this area will be treated to excellent examples of Renaissance,
Baroque and Gothic architecture in this area, but unfortunately very few of the
buildings are more than 50 years old. The buildings seen here today have been
meticulously reconstructed by the City Authorities to restore the original
charm and character to the Old Town
