The city celebrates its foundation day every 28th of August, hence it is
under the patronage of Señor San Agustin. Kagay-an Festival is held
every 26th to the 28th of August in celebration of Cagayan de Oro's patron,
Señor San Agustin. The highlights of the Kagay-an Festival are the Agro-Trade
Fair, Miss Kagay-an, Higaonon Street Dancing, Golden Float Parade and Halad sa
