Old documents tell us that this citytown was called as, "Jalalpur Qatal Wah" or "Jalalpur Sadat". Now-a-d ays, it's kn own as "Jalal Pur Pir Wala". Its's strongly thought tha t the founder of the citytown is "Hazrat Syed Sultan Ahmad Bukhari(May Allah Bless Him)", a famous saint who was born in one of nearby villages of JPPW named, "Uch" in 1542. e came across here permanently in 1582.He died here in 1631. It's considered that he kept the name of city town "Jalal Pur" on the name of one his ancestors, "Hazrat Syed Jalal-Uddin Bukhari
