Located at the western coast of B�mlo find Espev�r, a characteristic
fishing village that is rich in cultural heritage. For 100 years ago
there were hardly any fish with respect to themselves that had not spent
a night at the local inn Baadehuset. In the mid 1800s, it could be 20
000 - 30 000 people on the island when herring came. By comparison, in
Bergen at this time 26 000 inhabitants.
Today the population of
approximately 130 Espev�r is a thriving community. The island has a
shop, post office, bank, serving place / pub, kindergarten and school.
Secure parking is available in the Eidesvik B�mlo, where boat across
Espev�r Express is in route to the island. The journey takes only 10
minutes
