Upon landing at the airport, you need to get land transfer to get you to Merang, where there is jetty from which boats and ferries will bring you to Lang Tengah Island.
The boat ride will take about 45mins to an hour depending on the weather and sea condition. This transfer can be arranged by your respective hotel. Usually there are 2 departures during the peak season from July to September and one departure in off-peak season.
Get in
Boats are sent from the resorts to pick up tourists at the Merang jetty in Kuala Terengganu. Pickup is usually in the morning until noon.
Get around
Lang Tengah has no roads; travel around the island is by boat, kayak or just by snorkeling. The waters surrounding the island are shallow. Large boats are not allowed to dock at the beaches. Tourists must transfer from larger ferries to smaller speedboats to reach the beach
