The Izu-Hakone line connects Shuzenji to Mishima with a train ride through a broad valley. Mishima can be reached by the Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo, on the Kodama service. Some of the Odoriko trains travel through to Shuzenji from Tokyo.
Shuzenji can also be reached by Tokai bus, , from other places in the Izu Peninsula
