Khatu Shyam Mandir in the Samastipur market, also attracts fair amount of devotees. Navratra festival at Khatu shyam mandir is very famous. Rewari which is 16 km (9.9 mi) East from Samastipur is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesh, Nandi and Thakurji.This place is famous for shiva &sakti influence.It has an old tradition of folk songs and famous mithila paintings sung & done during festival and social occasions like marriage & birth ceremonies. several folk dance form as Kathghorwa nach, natua nach, dom domin jhijhia sama chakeva &dom kach is also practised as a culture in this area
