German carmaker Mercedes-Benz raised a plant nearby Kecskemét to manufacture the new Mercedes-Benz B-Class. The plant was opened on March 29, 2012. The Stuttgart-based company invested €800 million (US$1.24 billion) to build the new plant, which is expected to create 2,500 new jobs in the region.
