The municipality Banana Zone is located
north of the Department of Magdalena, limiting north with the municipality of
Cienaga (Broken Needle) on the south by the town of Aracataca (Tucurinca
dividing river water) to the east with the town of Cienaga (foothills Sierra
Nevada de Santa Marta) and west to the town of Pueblo Viejo (floodplains of the
Cienaga Grande de Santa Marta)
