The first settlers who arrived in Punta de
Piedras to settle after Chimilas farmers were about riparian population Robles
Bolívar, led by Jose Calvo, better known as Joselito, in about the year 1800,
who begin to build first houses on the banks of the Swamp zapayán. Zapayán was created as a Municipality through Ordinance Number 05 June 2000,
