Yotoco, was founded on September 15, 1622,
by Captain Diego Rengifo Salazar, taking advantage of the family seat of
Yotocoes or Yotocos in 1858 acquires the status of village, and in 1864
regained the district quality and is christened Sucre name, name ceased to
appear on the territorial division was awarded to the City in 1868. In 1908
through the Special Decree # 455, was annexed to the District of Buga. With Act
23 of 1912, was annexed to Yotoco Cali. By Last pursuant to Act l28 of 1912, he
