The municipality is located southwest of
the Department of Putumayo border with the Republic of Ecuador. Bordered on the
south by the Municipality of San Miguel, on the north by the municipality of
Orito, the east with the municipality of Puerto Asis and the Sucumbios province
(Ecuador), and on the west by the Municipality of Ipiales (Nariño)
