Marshal Jorge Robledo was the one who discovered the
region occupied by the town of Titiribí in the year 1,541. He
met with Titiribí name, this town was inhabited by the descendants of Indians
Sinifanaes Nutabes or Nutabaes Indians, who were ruled by the cacique Titiribí,
being derived from the name of the town here. This
was most notable chief ruler of the region who lived in what is now known as
the village of the Monkeys. This territory had other
