Tierralta bordered to the north by the
municipality of Monteria (capital of the department), the Northwest with the
municipality of Valencia, to the west by the department of Antioquia, on the
south by the department of Antioquia, on the east with the town of Montelibano
and the northeast with the municipality of Planeta Rica
