The main activities of the municipality are
agriculture , the livestock , the mining and tourism . Agriculture as currently
practiced is survival, crops are not large but preempts the nimifundio and
small orchards where farmers get their food daily. As livestock is the breeding
of poultry, mainly chickens, breeding sheep and goats (typical dish boyaca)
plus dairy cows found in small groups. The milk produced by farmers is
collected each morning by trucks that carry milk to the town of Bethlehem to be
