"In late 1549, the Spanish captains, Juan de Maldonado Alonso and Pedro de los Hoyos, co-Don Pedro de Ursua and Ortún Velasco Velasquez, a tribe belonging to the great family of Chitareros presented with forty (40) men, six (6) hunting dogs and two (2) horses.
