On arrival of the Spanish forces, land of Armenia and Heliconia were
populated by indigenous Titiribíes, grouse and Arvíes . In1541 ,
when Jorge Robledo was looking the valley Arví , found the "Salt
Village" , where indigenous salt cakes elaborated. When the
Indians realized that the soldiers came, rushed, each buried alive with their
wealth and others to hide their belongings.
