Since its founding Caldederos had a Catholic church, rather than the Bishop of Nueva Pamplona, diocese of which depended the sector had not yet established the foundation of the parish. The first chapel, not being even parish had no pastor, was only used for prayer and eventually to the Eucharistic sacrifice for the occasional passages of clerics. The ruins of this are those that can still be seen on the roadside of the commonly called "Pueblo-Viejo".
