First settlers: The land currently occupied by the municipality of Floridablanca was dominated in pre-Hispanic times by Chief Guane, like Bucaramanga and Piedecuesta. Its natives were Guanes although it is highly unlikely that there is any significant human settlement as the proximity to the triple border converging Guanes , Yariguies and Chitareros turned the villages therein as potential victims of the enemies.
