In the municipality of Firavitoba
Indian settlement existed before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadores
under the command of chief Sugamuxi.The
foundation took place during colonial times in 1655 with the name of San
Antonio de Firavitoba.The introduction of Catholicism
's parents made Franciscans mid-sixteenth century.The
village was destroyed by a tragedy, possibly a fire, why was refounded in 1718
