Agriculture, forestry and fish grew
significantly in value added especially in the transitional area of the flat
crops like cotton, sorghum, sesame and soybean areas have substantially reduced
their minimum, tending to disappear forever as a productive alternative for
their high production costs, low profitability, minimal increases in producer
prices and the impact of adverse weather conditions (pacific phenomenon), appearing
a slight recovery of 3.5% for 1999 due to the expansion of irrigated area
irrigation district of Use Coello, which allowed increasing the rice area.
