g="EN-US">On 12 April 1952, by Decree No 19 was created dependent Police Inspectorate Puerto Rico with Marco Fidel Bautista as inspector, as secretary Lubín Urueña. He was elevated to township by Decree No 100 of October 9, 1956 by Mayor Daniel Diaz and approved by Resolution No. 395 of the National October 23, 1956, its first mayor was Mr. Aníbal Muñoz and last Eduardo Marquez. By 1959, an area of ​​El Doncello (maguaré) was hailed as a center of colonization of the Agrarian Fund, which expanded the agricultural frontier with over 25,000 acres with about 3,000 settlers coming from different regions of the country.

Given the apparent inexperience of the Fund with the management of these programs and control of credit, land and exploitation, in 1961 the project was presented to Incora, created for this purpose. The road came to El Doncello in 1959 and the telegraph in 1960, which began to maguaré spoolable by Mr. Jorge Córdoba. In the same year he built the first School for Boys Abel Jorge Molina and two years later the School for girls born Immaculate Heart of Mary who in 1966 opened the secondary. In February 1967 during his visit to this city then Minister of Government Misael Pastrana Borrero pledged to build a neighborhood which became effective in 1968 with the construction of 20 homes through the Agrarian Fund, the neighborhood is called The Garden
