Cubará is a municipality Colombian capital
and only city in the Border District of Boyacá . It is situated in the
northeastern corner of the department in the subregion Llanos Foothills , Orinoquía
Colombia, at an altitude of 357 meters above sea level. It extends over the
plain on the banks of river would charge (tributary of Rio Arauca ). The
municipality is bounded on the north by Toledo ( Norte de Santander ) and the
municipality of Páez , state Apure (Venezuela); west with Concepción ( Santander
); south with Chiscas and Güicán in Boyacá and east with Saravena in Arauca .
