Cuaspud-Carlosama Historically known from
1646 as a population of grasses, however, this territory was one seat
inhabitants 5000 years before Christ. That is a reference that is taken from
the arrival of the Spanish. In the year 1676 appears as a parcel of Diego
Benavides, according to minutes of council dated pasture May 5, 1676, also
belonged to this charge current town of Aldana with indigenous groups in the
pastures, and chungana Yaputag. There were some estates, located inside the
parcel, for livestock production in the colonial style, especially in Macas,
San Francisco and Yapurquer.
