Those who were in this region to the
arrival of the Spaniards were the cajibios Indians. Inhabiting the banks of the
river of the same name and belonged to the ethnic group of Paez. Cajibío is
derived from the Indian word which means CAJI bio box and that means wind,
whose name is composed windbox
