From Boise and other points east, Interstate 84 leads along the Columbia into Portland. From the Oregon Coast Highway and other points along the Pacific coast to the west, the easiest approach is U.S. 26. It cuts east towards Portland between Cannon Beach and Seaside.
Bus
The Greyhound Station & the Union Station (Amtrak) are next each other at NW 6th & Irving. Other long distance buses typically stop, street side, at one or both stations. Check with them for specific locations.
Greyhound Travels primarily on Interstate 5 (Portland, Kelso, Centralia, Olympia, and Tacoma to Seattle; and Portland, Woodburn, Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, Weed, Redding, Red Bluff, Chico, Oroville, and/or Marysville to Sacramento on TWO separate routes), 84/395 (Portland, Hood River, The Dalles, Pasco & Spokane) & 84 (Portland, Hood River, The Dalles, Stanfield, Pendleton, La Grande, Baker City, Ontario, Boise, Nampa, Twin Falls, Burley, Trementon and/or Ogden to Salt Lake City).
