lang="EN-US">As of the 2001 census, 69.12% of the
population stated their religion as Christian, which is lower than the regional
average of 73.99% and the national average of 71.74%. All other religions were
under 1%, which was slighter higher than regional averages, although much lower
than national averages, except for Buddhism, which was slightly higher than the
average. 20.45% stated as having no religion, which was higher than the
regional average of 16.75% and the national average of 14.59 and the percentage
of people not stating their religion was also slightly higher
