The island is unusual in that it has 7 freshwater lakes. Some of the lakes are populated with saltwater fish originally deposited there by massive Hurricane Donna that struck the cay in 1960.
The island is set to host a private party for television personality Kim Kardashian. Her boyfriend, rapper Kanye West, has reportedly paid over one million dollars to hold the event there
