the Nature Protection Section of theSlovene
Museum Societytogether with theSlovene Mountaineering Society, a
twenty-year lease was taken out on theTriglav
Lakes Valleyarea, some
14 km². It was destined to become anAlpine Conservation Park; however,
permanent conservation was not possible at that time. The nameTriglavski narodni parkwas first used in 1926 byFran Jesenko.
