On February 4, 2010 was presented a forest fire that lasted about four days,
within which destroyed 50% of the Flora and Fauna Sanctuary Iguaque and
threaten to neighboring towns as Chiquiza , there is still no exact
explanation how the fire started. The fire covered an area of 1200 hectares ,
800 of which belonged to the Shrine of Iguaque
