between Choco and Antioquia several
times. In this regard we quote the story: "In December 1847 the
territories of Urabá were assigned to Chocó and in 1848 Tomás
Cipriano de Mosquera was restored to the Antioquia Province. In 1850 the
General José Hilario López handed back to Chocó area Urabá and this situation
lasted until 1900, when he returned definitively to Antioch Urabá. Early
in the twentieth century was imposed in the exploitation of rubber,
and Tagua Raicilla. In 1908 he moved the head of Vigia del Fuerte to Murindó .
In March of 1911 created the Province
of Urabá , with head in Turbo , and she belonged Murindó. In 1913 he
moved the head of District Murindó to Vigia del Fuerte with this last
name. In 1914 Murindó had another header itself. Vigia
del Fuerte was erected as a municipality
