In the same year 0285 Departmental Decree No. 25 1999, was named Social Worker as mayor CANDELARIA SANCHEZ CORDOBA (E) of the Municipality; position he held since April 28, 1999 to December of that year, the date on which the Licensed JOSE CORDOBA MENA GUIDO as the first mayor elected by popular vote
