built in Bridge International Union, which was formed in 1989 to provide
transit cars Colombians and Venezuelans. By agreement 18, 1947 was erected as a
township separating from Puerto Villamizar. The administrative office of the
new township became operational in the old railway station developed around
some houses.
Ordinance 80 of December 20, 1993 gave the
category of municipality and as such became operational from 1 April 1994.
