History of Paz de Ariporo

An army lieutenant named Eduardo Fernández Villalobos (now buried in Arauca), with several of its residents and members of the Cavalry Paez called Peace Memorial Ariporo achieved peace in the region  

In the main park of the municipality where there is an allegorical plate Guadalupe Salcedo and his hosts will deliver the weapons to the general Duarte Blum.

He earned his municipal category in 1974 .
