with Chapaimilla, Nimaima, Pinzaima, Calamoima and Ubima. By the year 1621
already had their own people living in 186 Indians over 5 reductions. In visit
of Archbishop Arias de Ugarte, prior approval of President Juan Borgia, by
Decree of 3 November 1621 In 1732 the people of Nocaima and Nimaima were
separated. In 1797 Nimaima had 149 Indians. By decree of the Legislature of the
State of Cundinamarca of December 20, 1866 the district was abolished and its
territory was added to Utica, Nocaima and Vergara. By decree of the Legislature
of the State of Cundinamarca of August 23, 1867 Village erected in the ancient
territory which formed with the same boundaries Nimaima subsequently repealed
by Decree 20 of 1866 and Law No. 18 C of 15 December 1879 said the village
depends on Vergara. By Act No. 21 December C again the district was created by
Ordinance 19 of 3 July 1894. municipality was abolished and its territory was
added to the Rock, and black Nocaima Quebrada. By Ordinance 30, of July 15,
1904 the ordinance was repealed and the town was restored by former limits.
Notable Acts; In January 1758 were awarded to Juan Ortiz de Caballero copper
mines Nimaima for exploitation. As of May 3, 1881 Agreement is given on lease
to the salt Narciso Rudas Pinzaima and Chaguaní sources
