The story Momil Township dates back to 3,000 years
ago, about when in the Formative period, people belonging to the culture ZenĂș
inhabited the region, reaching a relatively high degree of culture, as could be
inferred from research conducted by Gerard Reichel Dolmatoff, in the area known
as Cerro Mohan, who became one of the sites of remains of the country's largest
