amounts to the category of village of Pupiales, and July 1, 1881 is erected
municipality, according ordenenza # 2 of the municipality of Obando, assuming
as first mayor Mr. Adolfo Lucero. In
1890 Gualmatán township is repealed, however in 1892 it returns its municipal
status, status that survives today
