Chiquinquirá trade is the most widespread
activity in the city, based on the function of being regional collection center
and provincial capital, besides marketing with emeralds from the western
department of Boyaca. Other items found in the agricultural sector, which
revolves around the production of dairy products, corn, potato, wheat and
vegetables; extractive mining sector, shares Saboyá Muzo and asphalt deposits,
plus there are numerous quarries abundant clay and construction materials. The
