Therefore, speaking first of El Playon, and soon after, when
the hamlet of La Florida has been some development, that name is replaced by it.
The names of El Playon and Florida are combined, so in
official documents the first two decades of the twentieth century while,
alternating in this way are used: Florida - El Playon and El Playon - Florida.
It was intended that there would be no doubt about the
political-administrative entity. But it is understood that
referred to the Florida town that was forming and eventually served as county
seat. Until 1889 these parties belonged to the municipality of La
Cruz - Current Abrego - Province of Ocaña , and then to the town of San Pedro -
Today Villacaro - in the same province. Figure
