Location of Agustin Codazzi

The municipality covers a portion of the valley between the Magdalena River(west) and the Serrania del Perija (east), the Casacará River (south) and the Sicarare River (north). The eastern region of the municipality of Codazzi is rugged and numerous rivers and creeks are born in the mountains of the Serrania del Perija and reaching an altitude over sea level of 3,000 m. The main rivers are the Casacara, Fernanmbuco, Magiriaimo and Sicarare. The plains on the western side of the municipality are covered by the Magdalena river and its basin
