Niterói Contemporary Art Museum, the city's main landmark, was designed by the
famous Brazilian modernist architect Oscar Niemeyer. The landscape of the
central urban area of the city is dominated by a high cylindric building
though, the Niterói Tower, that hosts different professional offices and
belongs to the Niterói Shopping Mall
