Actually it is not possible to arrive in Campinas via steam locomotive. There are a touristic line that works on weekends. The "Maria Fumaça" starts 25km away in the city of Jaguariúna and arrives in Campinas at Anhumas Station, in the neighborhood of Fazenda Anhumas
