Sopotnia Wielka is a village in the administrative district of Gmina
Jeleśnia, within Żywiec County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It
lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south of Jeleśnia, 14 km
(9 mi) south-east of Żywiec, and 77 km (48 mi) south of the
regional capital Katowice.
