About Jamrud Fort

In 1837, it was here that the Afghans attacked the Sikhs during the Battle of Jamrud and Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa, the Sikh Commander, was killed. But Sikhs won the war. It was built to stop the attacks of Afghan (Afghanistani) people from Punjab to India because when those people attacked India, Punjab had to face a lot of losses as a result of its geographical location.
